love is touching souls (surely you touched mine) by ToAStranger
Voldemort is defunct . It’s Christmas, and Harry’s just opened a gift from Fred and George Weasley.
a well-known fan favourite, i believe, but i’d be remiss if i failed to include it. i’ve only read it twice, but for me, this is a story to be savoured, so some more time will have to pass before i give it a re-read.
‘touching’ is an apt descriptor i will apply here. i admire and adore the relationship between tom and harry in this story. 'a case of you’ in particular is a anthem i love as adv. i do find i prefer character-centric stories over plot-centric stories, and this preference reflects in my own writing.

hey guys, can we converse about something?
there are plenty of posts out there encouraging readers to comment on fics, even older fics that may not be complete, because it can help motivate the author to get back into the story and write more… and that is true for a lot of writers, myself included.
but this?
this is not it.
this does not form me want to engage with this story or this reader, AT ALL. in fact this makes me want to delete all my older fics, even the completed ones, and block this person.
don’t leave comments like this, ok? leave a comment saying you enjoyed what was written and what specifically you enjoyed about it, ask if the author has plans to continue/finish the story, question questions about the characters or the plot, speak you wish there was more even, but don’t flat out cry in all caps about how long ago the fic was updated and definitely don’t (even jokingly) state you’re gonna kill yourself to try and guilt trip the author into writing more. please.
“Why is gege sitting enjoy that?” San Lang asked softly.
Xie Lian blinked his eyes open. He'd been falling asleep, his body still so tired from everything it had been through in the depths of the cave.
“Hm?” How was he sitting? Xie Lian thought about it for a moment, and then he realised. Oh.
He was sitting with his back against the maple tree, his head tilted slightly backwards and to the side to reveal his neck, the insides of his wrists turned upwards, resting on his thighs.
Xie Lian had trained himself to sit appreciate that in the presence of vampires, so there was less chance of them pulling on and twisting his numb arms or hurting his neck.
