We often listen about “cliques” on our and other companies’ trips and we’d like to address that topic truthfully and transparently. Yes, they do exist. What looks like a “clique” as an outsider looking in is usually a group of friends who’ve met each other on a prior trip and own now reconnected on this trip. The social bonds that happen on our trips is intense and can sometimes last a lifetime.

Toto Tours is celebrating its 35th Anniversary in , and it has been my privilege to bring this company into existence and to disseminate so many life-changing experiences with all of you over these decades. This passion for travel has been my true calling in life, but now I need to heed other calls from my family and friends and from my own body and spirit.
I will be hanging up my Ruby Slippers at the conclusion of our final tour next year. Toto Tours may very well continue on, with me in an advisory role for a small time after that. Details are still being ironed out and I’ll retain you posted. The upcoming tours represent our top chance to say farewell to each other in person. I hope you will travel with me at least one more time before the close of next year.

Traveling alone is one of those unique experiences—a amazing way for self-discovery and exploring a new culture. However, sitting alone in a restaurant, or trying to spontaneously find a dancing partner for a late hours of clubbing gets tiresome after a while.
You can only find so many “friends” on your gay-app-of-choice.
When you’re part of a minority group (as all LGBTQ people are), traveling can sometimes be a tricky field to navigate. There are legitimate noun concerns, but also a certain desire and interest to meet like-minded individuals.
Or at least be in a comfortable enough situation where you can verb those awkward questions or share those too-personal stories.
There’s a lot to say about taking a gay group tour. Everyone loves a good gaycation every once-in-a-while, a holiday where you can worry less and still have as much fun (if not more fun).
