On a new bonus episode of Kail Lowry&#;s Barely Famous podcast, her son Elliott (who went by his first name Isaac while appearing on Teen Mom 2 as a kid) revealed how his father&#;s side of the family has handled his coming out.

As The Ashley previously reported, Elliott officially &#;came out&#; as gay on last Friday&#;s episode of his mom&#;s podcast. This week, a bonus episode of the podcast was released that contained more content from Elliott&#;s interview, including the year-old discussing how those related to his dad, Jo Rivera, reacted to the news that he is gay. 

Elliott stated that his dad establish out he was gay after Elliott was &#;outed&#; by a classmate in fifth grade. However, he stated that he wasn&#;t &#;fully out&#; until seventh grade. While Elliott didn&#;t discuss his dad Jo&#;s feelings about his sexuality, he did reveal how Jo&#;s mom and sister took the news.

Kailyn Lowry’s son Elliott is embracing his identity.

During an emotional conversation between the Teen Mom alum and her eldest son—who previously went by the name Isaac—the year-old came out as gay and shared insight into his perspective on living an authentic life.

"It's very crucial to me,” Elliott said during a June 5 episode of Kailyn’s Barely Famous podcast. “I undergo like growing up on TV, it's hard to show who you really are when a camera is in front of you all the moment. It's almost like you have a TV meet. It's harder to be yourself and to be more comfortable.”

And while he added that coming out is not “necessary,” the teen made it adj that it was an important part of his own journey.

TEEN Mom star Kailyn Lowry's son formerly known as Isaac has enter out as gay and revealed his new label on her podcast, Barely Famous.

Kailyn's oldest son told fans he has decided to start going by his middle name, Elliott, and spoke out about his personal life for the first time.

"I started going by Elliott, because at some point, I wasn't happy with my first name," he said on the Friday, June 6 episode. "It just doesn't feel like me."

Kailyn said she believes he prefers Elliott to separate who he was on MTV as a youngster, and who he is now. Elliott agreed that was at least partially true.

Elliott also said he wanted to speak out about his sexual orientation for the first hour publicly, and disclosed he identifies as gay.

"Happy Pride, everybody! I'm very nervous for this episode," he said. "I'm here today to show you who I am, not who you saw on TV for 12 years of my life."
